The Warriors Keeps Monta Ellis

Explosive guard Monta Ellis will still be playing for the Golden State Warriors after he was re-signed to a six-year deal worth about $66 million. The Warriors had made sure that they will keep the young guard star after Baron Davis opted out of his contract earlier this month to join his hometown team, the LOS Angeles Clippers.

The 22-year-old Ellis is expected to take over at the point guard position next season. He was named the Most Improved Player of the NBA after the 2006-07 campaign.

Fans will be expecting slams and jams in Golden State knowing that Ellis and swingman Corey Maggette is in the roster.
